When Eye Muscles Don't Work Together
For many people, their eyes focus independently, meaning they don’t “converge” on the same point at the same time (convergence insufficiency). For struggling readers, their eyes often make backwards movements (regressions), with each regression indicating a loss of attention control, similar to ADHD, sometimes making the words looks like they’re moving on the page, similar to dyslexia.
Our unique Reading Vision Coaching curriculum promotes proper eye-convergence and eye-teaming, and widens the focal zone so that you can see the entire word or phrase at the same time. This reduces regressions while minimizing the effects of convergence insufficiency, a condition commonly caused by various forms of strabismus (lazy-eye), and minimizes excess convergence/amblyopia (cross-eyed).
When combined with reading intervention, the end result can be dramatically improved reading ability. Some children go from reading below grade level from vision problems, to reading above grade level, within a matter of weeks. People also report improvements in visual skills and attention disorders, as well as reduced eye-strain and headaches.

Reading Vision Coaching
Our Reading Vision Coaching method takes a comprehensive approach, addressing eye teaming and tracking problems, combined with high-impact reading tutoring. It is a vision-based reading program for kids.
Your Reading Vision Assessment will consist of a 15-minute assessment with Dr. McMurray, conducted online via Zoom. Dr. McMurray will analyze the patterns of your eye movement as you read. Other companies charge $150 to $350 for a diagnostic assessment. We only charge $125 for our Reading Vision Assessment.
The Assessment is followed by a consultation with a Certified Reading Vision Coach, to answer any questions you have and offer help or information you could use to improve your reading ability.
If we suspect you may have a clinical-grade eye disorder, we'll refer to you a licensed specialist. However, for non-medical issues, our progressive sequence of eye exercises have helped other students and may help you, too, especially when paired with our innovative reading intervention. There is only one way to find out.
Reading Vision Coaching is having a one-on-one online reading coach with vision support, via carefully designed daily eye exercises developed by a neuroscience educator for neuro-visual correction, to help retrain the 12 muscles responsible for moving the eyes together.
Once you begin, you will receive a Reading Vision Toolkit in the mail, with custom-built tools you will use for your neuro-visual correction eye exercises to help retrain your eye muscles.
The 1:1 online reading coaching with your Certified Reading Vision Coach consists of 30-minute sessions via Zoom, 2 times per week, so that the coach can observe your eye-tracking progress while doing high-impact tutoring, and make adjustments to your eye exercises accordingly.
Most children need around 6 months, but many start seeing results in as little as 30 days, confirming that it works!
Most adults only require 6 to 8 weeks.
